Cordia Clark-White Sucks

On one hand, keeping this blog feels obsessive. On the other hand, Cordia Clark-White almost killed me. Cordia Clark-White, is the Chicago OBGYN who pressured us to have a c-section before reaching 36 weeks. Clarification: She wanted to cut me open during week 35/36 of our pregnancy because, unbeknownst to us, she wanted to go on vacation for her husband's birthday. During our initial consultation--before we committed to her-- we told her our desire to have a natural/spontaneous birth. She knew our due date. And instead of telling us she might be out of town so we should find a backup practitioner or choose someone else, she just said "we'll see". She never once mentioned concerns about pre-eclampsia. I never told her about any of symptoms because the first two issues I brought up, she just brushed off. I never felt safe. TLDR; Dr. Clark-White is licensed and her office is clean, however, choose a different women’s health practitioner if you have the option. She failed to diagnosed my preeclampsia and provided abysmal care. Hopefully, Dr. Clark-White will retire from practicing obstetrics and gynecology and follow her true passion of being a Botox Babe ™ — I mean, aesthetician.  Documentaries like  After Shock  have brought the institution-wide inadequacy Black maternal medical care to light, and Dr. Cordia Clark-White and Women's Progressive Health are unfortunately part of that problem.
